2023 Class Sponsorship: Program description and Full Season Entry Goals
Increased Class Entries Equals IRDC Sponsorship
To thank you for your support in 2022 IRDC is sponsoring drivers in our 2023 season with raffle drawings worth approximately $200 for each 3 additional entries your class achieves above your 2022 totals! The full season entry goal for each class is listed to the right. It’s that simple. This is an especially good opportunity for smaller classes to grow their fields!
We know racers are detail oriented so here they are:
1. A driver gets a class raffle entry for each green flag they take.
2. A class raffle entry is good for the raffle for that weekend (if earned) and for subsequent weekends where the driver takes the green in that class.
3. The class entry count goal is for the full season. If it’s apparent that a class will achieve the season long goal, IRDC, at its discretion, will hold raffles before the end of the season.
4. Yes – this applies to Enduro classes too. Note, since 2022 had only two Enduro’s historical data was used to estimate the entry count for the absent Enduro last July.
5. New classes are not eligible due to a lack of a baseline.
6. When will the credit apply? When a class earns a raffle drawing (most likely not till August) we will hold the raffle on the Sunday after the race and credit the winning drivers before billing.
7. An Example: Last year CC4 had 7, 14 and 12 entries in May, July and August respectively for a total of 33 entries. Therefore, the season goal is 36 which is worth one raffle. Suppose CC4 has 12, 15, and 15 entries
this year? That’s nine more entries than 2022 – so that’s three raffle drawings. Cool! But since we won’t know if CC4 will hit their goal until August we will wait till hold the drawings. For the first drawing we will add the entries
from the first race (since it had +5 entries y.o.y.). For the second drawing we’ll add the entries for the second race and withdraw any entries not-present at the second race. For third drawing we’ll do likewise. This is both for
fairness and to reward consistent participation. For the final drawing of the season, it’s possible to have 6 entries! This might seem complex – but we have computers, and you wanted the details.
7.a Volunteer Exception: In the event that a driver participates in later race weekends as a volunteer rather than a racer (due to mechanical issues for instance) that driver remains eligible for
that raffle, if one is held, in their class.
8. In the event the race credit cannot be used in 2023, it remains valid through the 2024 season.
9. Class Shifting: Cars substituting one class entry for another will not constitute with in class entry growth.
9. Terms and Conditions subject to change. Basically, means if something unanticipated comes up, IRDC reserves all rights to change how class sponsorship is administered up to an including program cancellation.
