High Performance and Competition Driving School at Pacific Raceways Learn high performance driving, whether you want to drive in competition or just be a better driver on the street. All of our instructors are competition-licensed racecar drivers with many race miles of experience. Get a taste of racing! After successful completion of the school, you will be qualified for a Novice racing license from the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs (ICSCC).  Recieve a free IRDC membership with school entry  2010 IRDC High Performance Driving School Dates March 27, 2010 - Ground school Friday night March 26 and on track Saturday March 27 July 25, 2010- Ground school Saturday morning July 24 and on track Sunday July 25 IRDC High Performance Driving Schools consist of a 'ground school' i.e. classroom session scheduled prior to a full day of on-track activities at Pacific Raceways . > Goggle map to Pacific Raceways The Ground School Covers: Car preparation - tires, brakes, fluids, seat belts Car Control, Proper Apex for different types if turns Car Handling - Understeer, oversteer, use of the throttle and brakes to make the car turn On Track rules Flags, a detailed presentation from Armadillo Racing's Andy Collins on what they mean and how they effect you. Accident avoidance, threshold braking and slalom exercise On track driving with one-on-one instruction. Graduate certificate upon completion of course We are including a Lapping group with our schools. If you have provable prior School, Lapping, or Racing experience, you are eligible to participate in the lapping group. A separate registration form below required.
